Super Easy Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken

Shredded Chicken

I love having a quick shredded chicken recipe that takes very little effort. Once every 2 weeks, I make this recipe, split up the chicken, and freeze it to be used for multiple meals.

If you’re using frozen chicken, be sure to pre-heat your slow cooker before adding the chicken, only cook on high, and temp the chicken at 2 hours to make sure it reaches at least 140 degrees internally by then. It’s not recommended to use frozen chicken in the slow cooker due to it being in the temperature danger zone (41-140 degrees) for too long, so use caution if cooking from frozen.

Interesting the fact that you add water I usually don’t since the Chicken release water anyway. I may try next time you way around and see if I can find any difference. Thanks for sharing.
