Method
- In a slow cooker, add the chicken, oats, carrots, water, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, and thyme. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
- Remove the chicken and shred. Add shredded chicken back to the slow cooker, stir, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and continue to cook on low for 1 hour.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
If you do not have carrots on hand, I recommend adding a bag of frozen vegetables after you've added in the shredded cooked chicken. Alternatively, you can add your favorite chopped vegetables instead of the carrots at the start of the recipe.
